Justine Ferrer

Every third Saturday of the month

Justine Ferrer (she/her), a Brussels-based visual and sound artist, dismantles the rigidity of electronic music, making its precise rhythms bleed into dysfunction. Navigating between the frenetic tempos of jungle and the weighty, tectonic pulses of dubstep, her work fractures the conventions of club music, creating moments of rupture that challenge and expand its boundaries. Deeply rooted in a fascination with sonic systems and their imperfections, the avant-garde meets the unpolished, celebrating the beauty of dissonance and the creative potential of glitches.

Rooted in a deep fascination with sonic systems and their imperfections, her mixes explore what draws us to certain sounds: How do rhythms and textures make us move or think? She offers new ways to experience music that spark both reflection and physical reaction, transforming club culture into a space for curiosity and experimentation.

Through her residency at Microwave Radio, she invites listeners to step beyond the familiar, rediscovering joy in sounds that disrupt and challenge expectations. The residency becomes a portal for crafting sonic narratives that interrogate the boundaries of what is pleasant, disruptive, or deeply moving. By weaving together the cerebral and the bodily, Justine creates an environment where sound becomes both a question and an answer, sparking movement, reflection, and the thrill of the unexpected.
